what I do

i have experience playing drums and percussion in a variety of settings, from metal band to musical theater. over the years, i have also added guitar and bass to my performance repertoire.

mixing and sound design
i believe that a good mix is what brings a project across the finish line. i help you getting there by mixing your raw audio or stem files. to me, this is a truly creative process and i am happy to work in close contact and exchange ideas.

i am as passionate about capturing sound waves as i am about producing them. let me take care of the technical stuff while you focus on your art. i will make sure to select the right recording space and equipment for your individual project.

coming into contact with the film school at the catalyst institute showed me the joy of providing film or other visual projects with the appropriate soundtrack. whether that is sound recording, mixing, sound design, or scoring. i love producing the fitting soundscape your visual project deserves.

CRUX is a berlin-based musician, producer and audio engineer. his roots lie in the rock and metal of the 2000’s. more recently, studying at the catalyst institute, he honed in on recording and mixing techniques and became inspired by a wide array of musical styles such as r’n’b, ambient and the trailblazing electronic music of his peers.
in the context of today’s genre-fluid audiences, CRUX is not limiting himself to one style of expression and seeks to combine all facets of his inspirations. what stays the same - the crux of it all - is the underlying taste and production aesthetic.
